We are proud to be approved by the Director General of Shipping, under the Ministry of Shipping, Government of India . Our training follows International Standards for Maritime Education and Training , ensuring that students are ready for a global career at sea.
Our Institute is located in a unique and charming place, once ruled by the French. This gives our students not just quality education, but also the chance to enjoy a rich cultural experience. Around our campus, you will find restaurants, theaters, resorts, clubs, and other places to relax and have fun after training hours.

The history of PIMS
Plutus Institute of Marine Science (PIMS) is a newly established institute with a strong vision for the future. Though we are new, we are proud to be approved by the Director General of Shipping, under the Ministry of Shipping, Government of India, for providing high-quality training to seafarers as per International Standards for Maritime Education and Training. Our institute was created with the goal of shaping skilled, knowledgeable, and confident seafarers for the global maritime industry. We may be new, but our facilities, experienced trainers, and focus on quality education make us ready to prepare students for successful careers at sea. PIMS is located in a beautiful former French colony, offering a peaceful yet exciting environment for students. We are also in the process of obtaining ISO 9001:2015 certification, proving our commitment to high standards from the very beginning. Though our history is just beginning, we are building a strong foundation for the future.
